Dr Brian Dunne MB, DCH, D.Obs, MRCGP, MICGP is a graduate of NUIG. He is a General Practitioner with special interests in Childrens Health & Cryotherapy.  He has been in practice in Kilcullen for 38 years.

Dr Kate McCoy studied Medicine at University College Dublin, qualifying in 2008. She subsequently worked in the Mater Hospital for 3 years, completing the Mater Medical Scheme. She trained in various specialities such as Medicine for Elderly, Infectious and Sexually Transmitted Diseases, Haematology and Oncology. Kate then decided on a career on in General Practice and undertook her specialist GP training via the Midland GP Training Scheme. Kate spent a year 2011/2012 training as GP Registrar with Dr Dunne. Post GP Qualification in 2013 Kate worked for 4 years in Castleknock, Dublin. She subsequently moved back to her home town of Naas and was delighted to be invited back to work locally in Kilcullen with Dr Dunne again.

Kate has a special interest in Women’s Health. She has completed a Diploma in Women’s Health in 2012, ICGP Menopause Course 2018 and is an experienced inserter of advanced contraception including Implanon’s, Mirena’s and Copper Coils. Indeed Kate was recently certified as a tutor for other GP’s in the insertion of these devices. Kate also has an active interest in Dermatology having completed the UCD Dermatology Diploma.

Kate is originally from Naas and now lives there with her husband and two young girls.

Dr Jane  Cronin was a member of the second cohort of students in the Graduate Entry Medical School of the University of Limerick. Prior to studying Medicine she qualified as a PE and Chemistry teacher. This has given her a unique perspective of her medical education and training.  After qualifying in 2012 Jane completed her internship in The Mercy Hospital, Cork, Cork University Hospital, South Infirmary Royal Victoria Hospital and Mallow General working in Respiratory Medicine, Rheumatology, Dermatology, Maxillofacial Surgery, Neurosurgery and General Surgery. Prior to commencing her GP training she worked In Mayo General Hospital in Endocrinology and Emergency Medicine gaining valuable depth and breadth of experience.

Jane’s favourite part of GP is the “cradle to grave” nature of the practice and the privilege it is to care for people from before birth through childhood illness and well into old age. She especially enjoys the intergenerational aspect of General Practice and its unique position to care for multiple members of the same family.                                                                                                                              

She has a special interest in Women’s Health, completing the Royal College of Obstetrics & Gynaecology Diploma in 2015, ICGP Menopause Course 2018 and ICGP Advanced Certificate in Long Acting Contraception 2019 inserting Mirenas and Copper Coils.                                                                

 Jane also has a special interest in Dermatology completing  SIVUH Medical Dermatology for non-dermatologist course 2014, attending numerous ICGP dermatology workshops and short courses and she is soon due to complete University of Cardiff “Introduction to Dermoscopy” course  to aid in the diagnosis of cancerous and non- cancerous skin lesions.

Jane has returned to live in her home town of Naas with her husband and two young sons. When she gets a chance she enjoys hillwalks, pilates and singing with a local choir.
